See you soon! 01-05-2008.Update.Last post. Hey folks, just to let you know that Outpost Cardiff at O'Neills has come to an end for the time being. Thanks to all of you who came along. Wherever you are in your beliefs etc we hope that it helped clarified some things and raised questions in other areas. It was a great opportunity to get to know you. We will be back on the other side of the summer holidays but it will be a slightly different format. We'll also be meeting on a Sunday night sometime in the future so watch this space!
Thanks again and if you do want to contact me at any time please feel free to do so!
Cheers.

The cross, despair and post-modernism. 28-02-2008.Weekly Feedback.Thoughts. Hey folks, thanks to everyone who came to the last Outpost. I trust that
you found it thought provoking and helped to get rid of any 'stained glass
window' perceptions of what Christ's crucifixion would have been like. As
we heard Jesus, the Godman, lived the perfect life we could never have lived
and died the death that should have been ours because of our sin. In that
moment on the cross he became the worst of what we are and was punished
instead of us. All that he requires us to do is accept him as our Lord and
saviour! By doing this God showed that he is a God of love and justice:
his hatred and wrath toward sin is fulfilled and at the same time he is
able to bring those who were once separated from him into a relationship
with him again! As always, if you have questions about what you've heard or
any other questions please send them in at questions@outpostcardiff.co.uk
I'd love to carry on the conversations during the week!
I also came across this clip from ER. In it a doctor who was responsible
for giving death row inmates the lethal injection comes to a place of
realising he needs forgiveness but the post-modern counsel he's given
doesn't answer his questions. Have a watch and let me know what you think!
There is hope in Jesus though!
See you at Outpost next week where we'll be looking at whether Jesus rose
from death!

We're up and running 19-02-2008.Weekly Feedback.Thoughts. Well Outpost Cardiff is up and running. Thanks to all of you who came along last week. I hope you found it interesting and enjoyed the quality of the beverages. I don’t know anywhere else in town where you’ll get a shamrock in your Guinness.
Last week we looked at whether Jesus is the only God. Even if you don’t believe that, looking at Jesus’ own words it is clearly impossible to call him just a nice guy. If he isn’t who he said he is then he was either a nut job, who needed serious psychiatric help, or possibly one of the most evil men who lived – he must have been to deliberately lead hundreds and thousands of people to a fake faith.
So the question that was left was, “who do you think Jesus is?” We’d love to hear your perspectives and what you made of all that was said. So feel free to send us your questions and thoughts.
This week we’ll be asking the question, “how human was Jesus?” How can someone claim to be God and man at the same time. See you at O’Neill’s! Dan Gaweda
